chandeliers.
the tarnished silver-ish one was found at the montsweag flea market in woolwich for 5 bucks. the other, hideous brass one, i picked up at the bowdoin college grab and go yard sale. a whopping 3 bucks. gotta love maine flea market prices.
i didn't prime. hell, i didn't even wipe them off. just went at 'em with spray paint i got at home depot. the tarnished silver one is now purple and hanging in my kitchen. i used a swag kit from lowe's and wired it up myself. the gray one has no home...yet.
purple chandy, in its home in the kitchen (i added some bling and used globe bulbs)...
whoa. probably should've dusted before i took pics.
turquoise chairs.
sadly, i don't have before pictures of these...these elegant, exaggerated queen anne lovelies, which were in a foul state of corduroy-covered heinousness. they were another salvation army find--4.99 each. as usual when i spray paint, i didn't do much to prepare the surface. it was pretty rough to begin with, the finish rubbed off in many places. i just had at 'em with valspar premium in gloss "exotic sea" (it took about a can and a half for each).
they live in a little window-y nook in our bedroom now.
